MBRM PRESS RELEASE
http://www.mbrm.com

Dec 2006

MB Risk Management (MBRM), founded in 1988, are pioneers and market leaders in analytics with 30,000+ users world-wide at major Investment Houses, Money Managers and Corporate Treasuries.

To provide the widest choice to clients utilizing MBRM's Enterprise Analytics, MBRM are pleased to announce that they have released a Beta version of their 64-Bit (native compile) libraries for compatible Windows operating systems e.g. Microsoft Server 2003 64-Bit. Please contact your MBRM representative if you wish to test these libraries.

Just as they do for their Linux, UNIX, and AIX releases, MBRM only provide licenses for 64-Bit platforms on a global license agreement. This is because these libraries are typically used on large servers where MBRM will require each end user accessing the server to be licensed for their libraries. Global license agreements are discussed on a case-by-case basis taking into account factors such as how the MBRM libraries' functionality are to be accessed by end users, how many end users will access the libraries, etc.

Please see their standard terms http://www.mbrm.com/terms.htm which states :

"Use on a machine is defined as being able to access any of our software's functionality from that machine (including access by way of network, internet, distributed processing and/or terminal replication technology)."

These 64-Bit Windows libraries complement the 32-Bit and 64-Bit libraries that MBRM already has on general release for the following platforms:

32-Bit Releases
Sun Solaris on Intel x86 and Sparc platforms
IBM's scalable iSeries, pSeries, xSeries and zSeries platforms running AIX or Linux
Microsoft's Windows 95/98/ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista (2007)

64-Bit Releases
SuSE Linux (Intel x86)
Debian Linux (Intel x86)
Fedora Core 4 / Redhat (Intel x86)

Note that the above libraries are also cross compatible with other flavors of Linux running on Intel x86 based platforms.
